Mia Neave

Welcome to my website. I am a 26 year old experienced and versatile musician originally from Gloucestershire. For the last 2 years I have resided in Harrogate in North Yorkshire. My primary instruments are Flute, Saxophone and Guitar but I also enjoy singing vocals and harmonies, especially when I'm writing originals.

 

I am Grade 8 standard on both Flute and Saxophone plus a self taught guitarist to a high standard. I have performed in several orchestras and toured around Holland with one of them which gave me the opportunity to perform in beautiful venues to many people!

 

I have had the pleasure of teaching music to students (mainly children) over many years. I don't like persistent repetition and I believe it’s very important to keep interest levels high. That is why I create lesson plans that are always tailored to the student. I am DBS checked.

During my career I have been a part of two very successful bands; performing at private functions and weddings. My father is a professional musician who specialises in Piano and Guitar, so music runs strong in our family.

 

I feel very lucky to have grown up surrounded by music from a young age. This has really helped shape who I am as a person and as a musician. Not only do I have a strong passion for music and teaching but I am a firm believer in training your ear as well as reading music.

To date I have had the opportunity to teach and mentor people from an extremely wide variety of backgrounds. Music really has no boundaries and can help & inspire you in so many ways especially given the complex lives we all lead. Let me show you or your child how to tap in to something beautiful.
